I think the way for single tickets to be sold should be sold on some sort of loyalty basis. I think also, tickets should go on sale at the window the same time as on the net or phone so everyone has a more equal chance of getting one.
With games that we know are going to be a low turn out then they should be priced lower, or have cash turnstiles or give tickets to schools.
At the end of the day, we want the ground full for every game regardless of who it is against. Bums on seats makes more money for the club and ensures we get future fans hooked on it. There are probably a million and one ways to ensure it but to me, mini season tickets would only bring in money and nas many bums on seats.
As for touts, well there is talk of the club doing away with tickets and everyone having to use a fan card to swipe in. While that may well be true, the club will still have to issue some sort of ticket so people know the details of where they are sitting. Now once they come out, it'll be them that get copied and sold to fans who dont know better. Uing the card will help combat touts somewhat but it'll also cut down on people getting tickets for others as it means they have to give them the fan card.
Anyway, Im sure the subject will crop up again at some point, maybe even before the new season kicks off and Im sure we'll see what works and what doesnt.
Nice to discuss things properly for once aswell, because if AFII had come out with it Idve just called him a ****.
