Thats a bit like sayinghow long is a piece of streing, how are we supposed to know, give the guy a chance to get settled beofore we start judging which team he should play inOriginally posted by Liverta 78 View PostWhat are the chances of Leiva breaking in to the first team next season? I'd hate to see such a talent lost in our reserve side. I hope he gets his chance and puts some pressure on our midfield ranks.

I'm looking really forward to seeing this and seeing him in action. See how he gets on against the likes Banega, Riquelme, Battaglia, Orteman and Ledesma. Boca have some quality midfielders so if he's playing especially in a holding sort of role we'll see what he's made of. If he can keep an on form Riquelme quiet for 90 min over 2 legs (i think) i'll be very very impressed with him.Originally posted by Diego View Postwe'll see on Wednesday how he plays in the libertadores final against Boca...

from what i saw in the highlights from the semi, he was quite a few times in the box, i recon he'll be in a visible role an attacking one, not just to keep Bocas midfield quiet, i'm hoping they'll have a difficult time handing him. at the same tieme i want Boca to win...Originally posted by Zapater View PostI'm looking really forward to seeing this and seeing him in action. Best player in his league at such a young age should tell you all you need to know of his potential. Time will tell if he realises it.Forwards.......

Erm - maybe one of them will be injured?Originally posted by akjs123 View PostProblem is, with 4 CMs already, one of them most probably wont even make it to the bench so I dont see how there would be place for Lucas on the bench.Just when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it

That is usually the caseOriginally posted by Maestro View PostErm - maybe one of them will be injured?
Maybe even two of them and Gerrard on the right because Pennant got slight hamstring in training, we´d be stretched - better buy another CM

Has anybody seen him play anywhere other than on you tube?
He sounds like a special player, a box to box midfielder, has pace, an eye for a pass and a great shot, has already played for the Brazil national side, is their U20 captain, and he's the youngest player ever to win player of the year in Brazil, but until he comes over there is no way of knowing how he will adapt.
Saying that he is the same age as Momo when he arrived, and he played a lot in his first season.
So basically I expect him to be more of an all round player than Gerrard, more skillful than Zidane, a better finisher than Ronaldo, faster on the ball than Henry, a better tackler than Nesta and with more energy than Momo."The definition of insanity is not running into the same wall again and again; it's expecting a different result every time you do it."

That's a ****ing impressive peer group. Screw Gerrard, this lads the real deal. Or he'll fail to live up to his potential at Liverpool, as is more likely.Originally posted by friedk View PostHere is a list of all the winners of the golden ball in Brazil, some pretty incredible players in that list

to me his appearance for the first team will depend on whether momo is still here or not. apart from finnan correct me if i'm wrong ...the core of the team has signed on...which means momo is rather expendable.Originally posted by rhys1989 View Postnot yet. he is expected to soon though.

I'd go further than that and say we should be actively looking to cash in on Sissoko while his stock seems pretty high. For all his athleticism, the guy can't control the ball and looks like Traore's twin brother at times. Mascher and Didi prove that you can mess up the opposition and be a proper footballer. If Barca are really prepared to pay 9mill for a poor man's Paul Ince, we've got to take it.Originally posted by justcruisin View Postto me his appearance for the first team will depend on whether momo is still here or not. apart from finnan correct me if i'm wrong ...the core of the team has signed on...which means momo is rather expendable.
