(Desperation cause stadium costs were increasing, fans were getting restless, signings were less than flattering etc etc).

If indeed we come out with no 'big money' signings this summer, a lot of angry fingers are going to be pointing back to what was going on in those infamous closed door 'investment' meetings.
I don't think they tried to "bluff" DIC. Moores had a duty to the shareholders to consider other reasonable offers. DIC wanted exclusivity on the deal and didn't want to participate in an auction scenario so they pulled out.

In layman's terms : They took their bat n ball home.

Does that sound to you like the type of people who are LFC fans? Why did they want to short change the LFC shareholders? So they could generat a bigger profit on thir investment. Oh how they must love our club

I'm sure it's not that simple but that's how I see it.

Why should they up their bid when their bid of £4500 was accepted by Moores and Parry? Secondly, why was Parry avoiding them for a week when they asked what's going on?

They were not short changing the supporters though, they said they wanted to buy the club at a good price and pump the extra money into the club for the fans not put it into Moores pocket.

G+H were happy to pay the shareholders to get the deal but their plans on investment in the team are nothing compared to DIC.

Sorry Rashid, DIC weren't asked to up their bid, they got pissed off because whilst they were fannying around from November-February leaking plans of how they were going to sell us in 7 years, Moores listened to what Gillett and Hicks had to say.
DIC wanted exclusivity and after more than 3 months Moores decided it was unreasonable to not consider other bids especially as DIC were being a little shy.
You don't know DIC's bid or H&G's bid. Moores AND the board DID know about the 2 bids so your ascertions on the DIC bid are mere speculation.

Nothing had changed on G+H's bid from the one we rejected (except for the extra £500 a share) but we now had Hicks on board. DIC was "significantly better than all offers" according to Parry.

I agree DIC dragged it out a bit but they were astonished at mis-management and did say that a "new management team" would be put in place. Parry must have **** himself.

£500K bonus and 2 year notice period of Parry - I think a few things about the whole investment saga stank.

What MANY people seem to forget in the whole takeover saga is one important FACT:

Moores (or Parry for that matter) did not accept H&G's bid over DIC's bid in a desperate attempt to gain some more money. DIC PULLED OUT OF THE RUNNING because they weren't given the exclusivity they demanded.

So, our beloved DIC who love our club more than they love their bank balances pulled out of the running. I wonder why they didn't leave their bid on the table? Perhaps, they weren't all they seemed.

A very inconvenient fact for the people who dislike Moores or the Americans.

As we've seen with Newcastle, Hammers, Aston Villa, Pompey - any club with a bit of scratch all of a sudden - it's no ****ing good if you can't entice players to go there. (dodgy Argie deals aside.... )

You can't under-estimate the importance of resigning our best players, it makes people realise we're a club worth going to. We have to hope that the truely world class players want to be part of that rafalution ( )

Football is getting crazy the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

I would love some billionaire to buy a League 2 club and bring them up to the Prem for the laugh

But on a serious note its going to get crazy with Newcastle,Maybe Arsenal and now brum having rich owners along with Manure and Chelski we would want to watch it
