Yeah, but it has to be better than Neverton, Chavski, Bolton, the Scum and the Arse as our first away fixtures. May allow us to build a bit of momentum.

Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

Spurs away last game of the season isn't ideal, but hopefully we'll have it wrapped up by then

It's still a tough start to the season.

Seen a worst run in as well. I'll take that ..... just!!

5 of the last 8 are away, which include Scum , Arse and Spurs but hey ho....

This is a much better fixture list.
i agree, the overall list is a bit kinder than last season but I reckon villa away is just about the worst possible 1st fixture.

the title is most often decided, not on the results of big games, but on who wins the away games against the sides 5-15th in the table. this is just such a game - villa being my tip to finish top of the "glass ceiling" league in 5th.

we are slow starters and a "momentum" team. we would be far better off with an away game against a cannon fodder side: wigan/derby/birmingham or everton followed by a couple of home bankers. 9 points on the board and some confidence would bring the best out of our side.

lose that villa game, chavski game 3 and the presssure will be on by the time the 1st meaningful table is published.

conclusion: another bad early run of fixtures for lfc - fortunately not quite as bad as last year

                  Sat Apr 5 Arsenal (away)

...that will hopefully be a crucial period as we head for number 19!!

United away, home derby and Arsenal away in a row!

And also champions league quarter final arounf the same time...

all in all im happy with that, no excuses if we are 10 points adrift by xmas this year, at the very least we should be right up there challenging.

                      Im hopeful.

Would you be as hopeful with a Forlan / Kuyt forward line, backed by Pennant and Simao as wingers ?

Not a bad fixture schedule for us compared to last season - I'll take that!

No 12:45 kickoffs this season is good for us.

Exactly....that will DEFINITELY change. Hopefully we can have at least 2 or 3 less of them than last season though...
