Top Goal Scorers in La Liga so far....linked with us

    RVN - Madrid 25
    Milito Real Zaragoza 23
    Kanoute Sevilla 20
    Ronaldhino Barce 20
    Forlan Villareal 19
    Baiano Celta 15
    Tamundo Espanyol 14
    Torres Atheltico Madrid 14
    Villa Valencia 14
    Messi 14

OK... call me a sceptic . Let’s face it Kanoute and Forlan didn’t exactly set the Premiership on fire. Torres & Villa are considered the best thing since sliced bread. According to this list – the ain’t exactly cutting the mustard in La Liga, personally, I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole. Some of the figures for them that has been brandished really beggers belief.

Torres has the excuse he is in a relatively poor team. I think most people would agree he has nothing like fulfilled his potential in the last season or so. The player who that list shows has been dismissed too easily IMO is Milito, there was the traditional upset when he was mentioned as a lower cots option th other day but his record looks very impressive.

Villa has been injured for a while

Torres has been in a mediocre team who's best attacking players have been injured

        No Eto'o

Milito represents good value for money in my opinion

Out of interest, I compiled a table to show the goals per game ratio of every player in the top five European leagues this season.

It only includes players that have played ten or more games and scored ten or more goals.

                Here it is:

It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

Fair play to ye. Any chance ye can throw in the stats for the Dutch league? Its a very bad state of affairs when our best goal scorer is behind a centre half and one of our on loan players. Surprised with Berbatov. Who'se this Rigano character? I presume Messine are in Seria A or were in Seria A. Never heard of them or him? Still good going in a struggling team?

Interesting that the 20 goals a season and in the top 5 strikers catagory(allegedly on both counts) Little Welsh runt doesnt make the top 92. :whatever:

                      Where's Crouch on that list?

Torres has never been prolific, it's absurd that he's quoted at such crazy money. Hyped up beyond belief. And with regards to being with a rubbish side - erm Darren Bent anyone? Andy Johnson with Palace? No excuse for me.

I'm sure Torres will explode at some point in the near future, but he's not the finished article.

OK So we need to sign Totti and Rigano.

kanoute did fairly well in a REALLY bad irons side. hes come on a great deal, has epl experience, the right physical attributes, the right mentality and seems a rafa type of player.

I would take him over villa or torres
