You wont find a lot of players on 40K outside the top 6 clubs...
Carra's last contract was rumoured to be in the 60k bracket, can't comment on every players wages but i think it's fairly common knowledge that Ged offered above average wages.

he must be. it's a shame because when he first signed i thought he looked like a decent player but on saturday he played like a player who knew that he was on his way out.

don't underestimate the influence van basten has on the dutch players. he was very vocal about kromkamp' move to anfiled.

I don't think there is any doubting the guys quality but if his head isn't right then even the best player will look poor. It's going to take a top player to come in and take over Finnan as IMO he is the best right back in the league.

Apparently Rafa never really bought Kromkamp to play much....it was more a case of not losing money on Josemi. I remember the highest offer for Josemi we could attract was around £700,000, from depo or some spanish team....so in an effort not to lose money on josemi, he swapped him for Kromkamp, who had a higher 'sale' value, intending to sell him in the summer or january. He was never seen as a long term signing, only a very short term one.

Heard that from Bascombe and other t'internet sources.

If that's true then a very good move by Rafa, as long as we get a decent fee for Kromkamp of course.

I can't get over the £60k a week for Cheyrou, what were they thinking?

I guess that figure shows why we can't get rid of Diao - he must be on similar then! Incredible.

I've heard that Mellor does pretty well for himself too? How much is he on?

I think 60k a week would of been good for the new Zidane, shame the tosser isn't anywhere close to being in the Zidane bracket. Diao will never earn a quater of what he's on at Anfield.

His disciplinary record is a problem but if he signs I'm sure Rafa wld have this sorted out. He's a no nonsense player who wld add steel and is familiar with the EPL, so none of this having to settle to the pace of a new league ****e. He wld improve our squad

He has only had 5 reds and 2 where against us in 1 season, one last week, not that bad.
