Thanjk you.

We clash quite regularly don't we Morph. I must re-iterrate, I have absolutlely no respect for your opinion.
Reina, Finnan, Agger, Carra, JAR Van Der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra Cech, Ferreira, Carvalho, Terry, Cole
We do not have the best back 5 in the league, only Reina would get in the scums and only Finnan would get in Chelskis. Go on, try and look at it from an unbiased perspective and be realistic for once.
Well our defensive record must have been down to numerous acts of god then if the players are so ****e.
Funny the way this thread has gone, it was a critical evaluation of Rafa and it seems to have turned in the agger vs ferdinand debate
I seriously think Ferdinand is overated, and I think both Carra and Agger are better defenders. But as has already been mentioned, Rio is meant to be in the prime of his career, and agger is only what 22? To think what he might be like in a few years is an amazing prospect.
Of course if we want to look at it litteraly Agger for 5/6mil and ferdinand for 20mil plus, i'd go agger every time, but ferdinand is english so that skews his value anyway, but he isn't 4 times the player agger is, he isn't even one times the player agger is imo
Can anyone name a Ferdinand error from 06/07, or even better numerous errors? Perhaps i dont watch enough of him, but i think it's jumping on the bandwagon somewhat to suggest he's error prone. A Manc i work with (ST holder, i think) says that Ferdinand is easily their best defender.

Stop being completely ridiculous you sad *******. I was refering to what the back 5 give the team from an all-round perspective, as is shown in a previous post. Nobody is saying they are ****e, nobody has mentioned the word. :whatever:

I live with two Mancs, thus saw a lot of them last season when they were on the box and we weren't playing. Own goal against pompey(?) stands out as an error, but any manc would tell you their defence falls to pieces when he isnt there. Agger isnt at that level yet.

The own goal there was Van der Saar's fault.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
Can we not just agree that we hate him and leave it at that?
Hate is such a strong word though...
