He said "we should move on" and "that was his opinion." Pretty clear to me.
Did you see the size off those chickens?

      So it appears.

Anyway, at least it seems many of us, including the incomparable Revo, hope Fredo comes back.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Its an extremely touchy subject and i understand i suppose, that people under the age of 18 and people not from around these parts (UK) will be, not so much unaware of the boycott but wont care as much as us scousers do.
It is still no excuse though to tell people to move on. That is not the action of a respected and well liked member of an LFC fans forum.
Im not willing to have ANY debate on the matter and neither are a lot of people who are personally affected by Hillsborough.
That's my new book. 'Shut the **** Up, by Dr. Denis Leary'. Patients come in. 'Doctor I-' Shut the **** up! NEXT!! 'Doctor, I've got this-' SHUT THE **** UP!! NEXT! 'He made me feel so much better. He just told me to shut the **** up. Nobody ever told me that before!'

So don't you think that leaves space to argue why we shouldn't "move on" and that there are good reasons for him to revise his opinion?

I fully understand it's a sensitive subject. Maybe Fredo thought he did but didn't.

It's important to discuss it as this educates and informs those who do not know the depth of feeling that this subject still raises. Unstructured attacks just lead to resentment.

As far as 'not having chance to explain' is concerned, it's a forum, you can't be shut up by people shouting them down. We have all the time we need to type a considered response. It's just that some people could do with taking a little more time than they do.

He is entitled to his opinion even if it is wrong, but what reaction he expected i really dont know.

                    What did the rumour say?

Looks like I've missed all the excitement again

All this is easily remedied. He has an opinion, right or wrong, ignorant/naive/misled whatever, there's no need to jump down someone's throat. Give them the facts, tell it from a personal point of view, explain to them the reasoning behind the boycott, the emotions involved, the injustice, and if they have any sense in them, they'll understand. From what I've read of Fredo's posts, he's not a bad guy, he probably just didn't understand how much this meant to people. Besides, how many posts have been made without really thinking about what you were writing? It certainly isn't going to be just his.

I think we should set up a forum with articles about what happened so everyone will know the truth. It should also be available to guests and not only members.

By that way everyone will have a chance to read about what happened.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I just wish people would disagree with others in a less aggressive manner. It's one thing disagreeing and it's another being abusive to someone. We had this debate before and I remember someone saying something similar to what Fredo did and RS4 did a really good post which wasn't in the slightest bit abusive but explained all about the strength of feeling against the Sun etc and how anyone who was at Hillsborough (which he was) feels about it now. Why couldn't people follow RS4's lead? He was there so if anyone understands he does, yet he didn't start abusing other posters that didn't.

Do people believe that being abusive is the way to educate someone? If they do then they are clearly lacking in intelligence. I genuinely don't believe that Fredo fully understands the hatred by Liverpool fans and Scousers towards The Sun. The same way he couldn't comprehend that there would be any trouble between Liverpool and Man Utd fans had they got to the final in Athens. In a way, how can he? He doesn't even live in this country never mind in Liverpool so how can he fully understand the hatred between Scousers and Mancs?

Anyone who was abusive towards him in that thread should be ashamed of themselves in my opinion. Disagree with someone fine but as soon as you start being abusive towards someone your argument just falls flat and people stop listening!

We've got enough forums. There's a website devoted to it which does a far better job than we would. It's better IMO to publicise the website than to attempt to imitate it
