I thought that after we got his Registration sorted we bought him for 10 Million?.

I heard that aswell, just after all the original speculation as to whether we'd bought or loaned him. Apparently, we had to sign him permanently to meet one of the stipulations regarding his registration and the "not allowed to play for 3 clubs in 12 months" scenario. After all, if we have signed him on loan, we are as guilty as west ham for breaking the transfer rules which i believe we fully investigated before making the deal complete.

The rule West Ham broke was that they couldn't do anything if MSI suddenly decided to sell him in the middle of the season. They had no control over his contract. They also had some dodgy clauses in Mascherano and Tevez contracts.

We have complete control over his contract until next summer but we can't sell him.

from what i read i think that right, however it's safe to assume that noone actually knows anything on this subject appart from the fact that Macherano playes for us for the next season, and after that then we'll panic, if nothing has been sorted by then.

Also let's say Mascherno is worth 18mil, don't you think it showed exactly why buying a top class player in that price range is worth every penny. How many players have we bought who fit right in after about 45 mins of footy, not many is it.

All the more reason to try get some money in for Momo then if it lets us keep Masher- guess that depends on him.

That having been said, he did say that he had found the perfect club for him, so fingers crossed he still feels that way.

I read both prices. £18m & £10m but only with the option to buy after the loan. I think we should tie him down longer though as soon as possible.
