Maybe I'm just an eternal optimist, but I get the feeling that Kuyt will really flourish next season. He's got a great football brain, and is a good finisher. Let's hope the emphasisi will be on Kuyt the striker as opposed to Kuyt the extra midfielder.

depends who is partner is tbh, if he is played as an out an out striker I think you're right...if he is to play behind a man who leads the line then a similar return to this year...love the guy all the same...Comment

He isn't a great finisher to be honest BUT I'm with you on this. 13 league goals isnt bad for a striker in his first season, in a new-tough league and also not playing as an out and out striker. I reckon next season he's gonna get 20+ goals. Even when he's going through a bad spot, he never lets his head get down and stills give 100%. I also think he could make a fantastic box player as he is a born hustler - if he emphasised on just the final 3rd, I reckon he can add an extra 10 league goals.

I still think, with some better quality creative play behind, Kuyt can be the main man. I know some people think he's slightly limited, but to me he's the Carra of the forward line, and with continued faith he could go on to become a real Anfield legend.
