anyone how long planning permission will take after we submit our new plans on the 3rd July??
If it is a fresh application, probably about 13 weeks according to the councils website, at that stage, if they grant, there will still be another wait of a few more weeks before you get a final grant. Depending on if they grant and how much time it takes to reach a satisfactory conclusion. I doubt it will get dragged out too long though, I hope they are not looking to totally change the look of the stadium from what is proposed.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

The plans we have seen if true though are a massive change and if all goes against us I could imagine them being called in by government.

Mate - your not suggesting that you'd prefer to go back to the reebok mk.2 plans would you? That was a terrible souless effort. This new deisgn has got some bollox and i think it is so different that it might actually age pretty well.....
Standard planning applications take 8 weks to process but i imagine that the this application is much more complex for something on this scale - but i also got the impression that the new scheme had been drawn up after consultation with fans AND the planners themselves. I think any forward thinking town planner would be insane to turn down such an iconic building/stadia - and the guggenhiem in Bilbao should be a great case in point for what a a piece of architecture can do for a city....
