    Liverpool sign young Barca forward

Looks like we have done an "Arsenal" to Barcelona....

Pacheco, one of per them of the quarry, “flight” to the Liverpool

The never ending story. England has set it's sights yet another one of the emerging figures in the blaugrana youth setup and, this time, they've managed to pry it away from Barça. In this occasion, the 'robbery' has been committed by Liverpool, who have taken Daniel Pacheco with them, central forward of the U-16 team.

The young player, who, despite having just turned 16 this past January, has already been used regularly for Alex Garcia for the U-18A, has decided to accept the 'Reds' offer to play in England for the next 3 seasons. Although Barça has tried to keep the player under it's wing, the agreement between the English club and the player is irreversible.

Garcia Pimienta, his manager at the U-16A's this season, considers that he is "a big loss for the club because we're talking about a striker with lots of quality and a goalscorer. He's been our top goalscorer, reaching almost 30 goals and he's already played with the U-18A's, so i don't think this is a sporting issue, because he is highly valued at the club". The coach considers that "along with Thiago Alcantara and Gai Assulin he is one of the U-16 players with best prospects that we have, but there is nothing we can do now. It all happen very fast".

Dani Pacheco arrived in Barcelona from his native Malaga and has spent the last four years at the club. Now, like Cesc, Pique or Fran Merida before him, he's gone to England.

They envy the distinction we have won; let them therefore, envy our toils, our honesty, and the methods by which we have gained it.

Hope we are in for them as well. We cant let the lad get lonely over here

Seriously We should exploit the advantage English clubs have over most of Europe in that English clubs can sign Pro contracts with players aged 17. Rest of Europe you must be 18 before you can sign a Contract

The things is though - we're buying potential here - not proven class. There is no guarantee that they'll make the grade - much as ALT & FLO never really materialised into the players they could/should have been.

What I will agree with is that it shows that our scouting network is working really hard to identify players foir the future and also Rafa and A.N.Other are doing a fantastic job selling the club to these young lads to make them want to uproot and come over here..

True, but surely with the amount of them coming in, 2 or 3 of them should make the grade.

They think very highly of him in Spain at least

Bojan Krkic and Giovani Dos Santos are not the only young people about which one will speak in the short run. Side of the Juniors A by Barça, who buckled one extraordinary season, three 16 year old young people, which shone and which tried out a spectacular progression in the categories of young people, pointed out themselves. If Bojan and Giovani already ensured their presence for the preparation of the next season with the first team, Thiago Alcantara, Dani Pacheco and Gay Assulin could be as follows in the next seasons. Thiago Alcantara, synonymous with skill It recently celebrated its 16 years and its second name is Do Nascimento but it is not the son of Peeled. On the other hand he is the son of Mazinho, the former champion of the world with Brazil in 1994. During his stage with Vigo, his/her son also filled with wonder and Barça noticed, recruited and under the orders of Garcia Pimienta it appeared. Technically perfect with the two feet although he is a droitier, he is especially skilful to strike the frank blows. It is almost impossible to stop it when it runs with the controlled balloon and he has a vision of the play like anybody in spite of his youth. It plays rather on the left side of the medium of the ground, that which occupies usually Deco in the first team. Dani Pacheco, the ' killer' of surface This Andalusian joined Barça coming from Malaga, where it filled with wonder by his capacity director. He is 16 years old and he has carried the shirt azulgrana for 4 years. This season it became the reference of Juniors A. It is a striker born and signed a ' hat-trick' in front of Espanyol finally of the Cut of disputed Catalonia with Canovelles last week (4-1). Gay Assulin, qualities and character This 16 year old Israeli celebrated on April 9 already marked with Juniors A. He plays left winger (like Ronaldinho) and he is skilful, easily penetrates the penalty area and he plays of the two feet but the technicians stress that he improves with the stake and that its best meetings were vis-a-vis with adversaries largely older, stronger and larger. Chelsea tried to recruit it several times.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

This kid is supposed to be hot ****!

Him and Thiago have been scoring goals at will for Barca B. Thiago is likened to Deco, and Pacheco is nicknamed "the killer", after his clinical finishing.

These 2 are the next "Barca wonderkids".

If he has signed its pretty exciting

Howard my friend are you on medication?

How much experience do you expect a 16 year old to have?

                      Great signing.

Play him in our youth team the first season, then loan him out to a championship club the second season and give him a place in our first team the third season.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Other than a strong cuppa coffee I've had nothin' so far!

I didn't know I'd even mentioned the amount of experience they may be lacking. But thanks for pointing it out.

What I'm saying is remember Le Gems. Hailed as the next big thing(s) and they never really hit it off over here. The same may yet still apply to these lads. Uprooting and moving to a new country at such an early age is not easy. I will concede though - that working with Rafa will greatly improve their chances of making it though.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
