Atlast we have own wunderkid He has a long way to go before he makes it but the buzz of expectation people get when they see a young quality attacking talent waiting on the substitute bench eager to come on is something I have missed in the past couple of years.

The things is though - we're buying potential here - not proven class. There is no guarantee that they'll make the grade - much as ALT & FLO never really materialised into the players they could/should have been.

What I will agree with is that it shows that our scouting network is working really hard to identify players foir the future and also Rafa and A.N.Other are doing a fantastic job selling the club to these young lads to make them want to uproot and come over here..

It's completely different though I think - a) ALT&FSP didn't have the experience of Barca's training, and more important our own facilities from as young an age as these ones we're poaching from all over the show, and b) FSP&ALT didn't spend so much time in the youth development, they were pretty much training senior from as soon as they came over.

I'm quite excited about it all in a we're-not-going-to-see-the-fruits-of-it-for-three-years-at-least kinda way...

1. I said we were buying potential - not proven class. Did I even mention experience? No. That was you - after you made the snide remark about me taking medication. So don't twist it.

2. ALT&Flo both failed to live up to expectations - which is why I mentioned them. The fact they cost £6m is neither here not there - they still 'failed' to make the necessary step up from youth football to first team regulars. We bought potential - but the potential wasn't realised.

3. I'd learn to spell 'different' if I was you - before you start getting ideas above your station again. :whatever:
