i think this may herald a change in rafa's over negative tactics as for once we will now have a front line with pace, skill and wont lose the ball everytime it gets kcocked to them

Rafa is obviously a very intelligent manager...perhaps he may learn that with the team we have, we can steam roll 90% of the teams in the premiership

The guy has an LFC tattoo, the press know we want him and how much it would cost, we've got shed loads of cash, he's a proven goal scorer, a goal scorer is what we need and Rafa is a long time admirer.

What are the odds that this wont happen?

I'm told he has 'Liverpool FC' tattooed on his todger. Apparently it becomes 'Liverpool are a Fantastic Club' from time to time

That can't be right, even if we won the league they'd give manager of the year to Jol or some other plonka. It would be because Chelsea and United had lost the league as well, not us won it :whatever:

I can't help but think he would be amazing in a Arsenal or Man utd team. I really hope with a few more additions we will start to see some exciting flowing football. however Benitez has never been one to set his team up to play the sort of football many of the fans expect.
He hasn't had the players to do that yet.
In Spain his Valencia side scored as many as Real and conceded less he will push the team on with the right players.

I agree we're only defensive because we haven't had the kind of flair players that manure have. We always attack w/5 so with the right players I think we will do much much better in the final 3rd.

Great day. We sign a proper striker, and as a bonus, all the doom and gloom "we have no money and Parry is ****e" posters who've been virtualy intolerable on this board for the last month, can shut up for another year.

Good things come to those who wait

Oh, and Athletico have to make their fans think they;ve got the maximum possible for him, I'd suspect the £20m minus Garcia figure is probably far more like what we'll actually be paying

I think he can hit the ground running. With a new challange and playing with a better quality of team, he should be able to raise his game than that of his last season at AM.

No doubt he will get a shock as to the pace of the game and the physical nature of the Premiership, but the culture shock shouldn't be too bad for him at El Liverpool.

If Crouch & Kuyt can take some of the pressure off him early doors next season, I reckon the lad will come good for us and chip in with more than his fair share of goals.

Being able to put the balls into the channels and turning the opposition defence to face their own goal will be a nice option as well. We had it with Cisse to an extent - but he couldn't hold the ball up if he latched onto it.
