Exactly no good sending him out for a year if they end up not playing him.

and i thought it was a straight swap with Welsh when we signed him.

I thought I read that Rafa has some sort of finacial penalty in place if the loaned out players are not selected when fit.

        What are you talking about?

That is plain bonkers, plus it would break all sorts of rules, as a third party (LFC) would be directly influencing team selection of Swansea.
        Oh I don't know.

There are different rules in the lower leagues (West Ham were in breach of PL not FA rules) so it may be possible. I have my doubts about it but it has been a rumour for a while.

I am just restating what was preiviously mentioned on here.

It was stated (not sure by who), that Rafa was fed up of loaning out players that then barley figured for the teams they were loaned to. This then had a detremental effect on their development as they were training with lower quality players and coaches than they would have if they had stayed at LFC.

Seems to make sense to me.

Aplogies if I sounded a bit off. Bad day at the office.

I still can't see that ever being allowed though. IMO of course.
                Oh I don't know.

The deal is that if he plays we pay his wages , if he doesn't the loan club pays them. It's not influencing team selection as such it just provides an financial incentive to give our young lad a game
