Heard it live and loved it. TBF, Durham didn't back down, but avoided the nub, which was that he had called Carra a bottler, changing it to being 'dissappointed' he wouldn't be in the squad. JC got support form Quinny, Gary Stevens and Jason Cundy, but the newsreader who'd claimed Carra was only thinking of his 100K a week was sh*tting himself.
Turned (in the next programme) into an interesting 'Scouse, not English', 'North/South Divide' and 'Club vs Country' debate. The (southern) presenters seemed genuinely surprised at the depth of feeling, and some pretty articulate and considered explanations of it.
Me? I'd take Liverpool winning a corner ahead of England winning a World Cup.

its funny how most of us just take it for granted about club before country or liverpool winning a corner before ingerland winnin a world cup and those 2 buffoons were totally flabbergasted by the thought.
carra stood up for himself and was very diplomatic in giving his reasons for thinking about it, when you just know he would of loved to say that the **** maclaren has ****ed him about and stepped on his pride and the whole ingerland set up is a farce.
mclaren is cock sucker who is not up to any job and epitomises everything wrong with the game."People from Liverpool have got something about them and, if they’re not happy about something, they let people know.”
