Why on earth are you comparing Cech to Reina ?

I never mentioned Cech.

The fact is Reina's abilities were exaggerated last season, as a result of our solid backline.

In truth, he was at fault for a good 7/8 goals.

Plus, he almost lost us the Cup final.

thats it, nothing to do with his ability really Same as Sissoko, he only looks decent cos of stevie and xabi. Come to think of it, rush was utter ****e but dalglish made him look good...or was it the other way around

Reina is still relatively young in goalkepping terms, he'll learn, plus if he didn't make mistakes he wouldn't be human!

On Sky they were banging on that it was such a howler....it was a fluke and Reina WAS to blame, but it wasn't THAT BAD.

He's a top keeper for one so young.

Best we've had at the club for a long, long time. The best thing about Pepe is that I don't lay a turd evertime a ball comes into the box. Previous to him people used to score almost a will with crosses into the box.

OK, he makes a few errors, so does everyone...he is, however, a vast improvement on the dross we've had before.....Dudek, Calamity, Westerveld.... any takers?.....Seriously....Anyone....Bueller?

I reckon Reina is overrated by many Liverpool fans. He's still pretty ****ing good, mind.

I would go with that to a degree. However he has a great attitude, any error never affects his confidence and so the defence never worry about him, unlike say Dudek.

I actually think that Reina is a good keeper now but has the talent to be great. I think the way he plays means that his mistakes are exagerated and look comical but by attempting to read situations he cuts out danger more often than other keepers.

I actually think that last season he was avery important part in allowing the defence to be so good. Not because of his quality of performance as much as his attitude, willingness to sweep up behind the defence and the fact that all the defenders had confidence in him.

Every player makes mistakes, goalkeepers & defenders are more visible
Yesterdays goal was a fluke, the hammers are making a habit of scoring from flukes
& of all types of shot, flukes are the hardest to save
