If he knows that he has the money to sign the players even if it will cost more than he needs to pay then he would get a nice bonus that is worth at least as much as the extra money he paid for the players.

That bonus is that Benfica and Porto would see how much Man U paid for Nani and Anderson in the same league and because of that up the price for Simao and Quaresma and they are rated as better players.

That means more problems for us to sign Simao and Quaresma and that is probably worth a few millions for Man U.

Simao and Quaresma is two of the few available wingers that can play on both wings.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Next step is for Rafa to start putting pressure on the league to allow us to field a reserve team in the Championship.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

So Alex Ferguson has paid so many extra millions for two players, just so Liverpool may have to pay a few million for two completely different players? I remember a few people suggested something similar with Chelsea and Kalou, when we wanted Kuyt, but this really seems like a real paranoia overdrive.

Ferguson has always paid over the top for players he rates, Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy, Veron and even Vidic. Sometimes it works for him, sometimes it doesn't, but to suggest he added so many more millions to United's increasing debt, just because Liverpool were supposedly linked with two players is ludicrous. How could he justify this to the board and shareholders? Who's to say that these two players were even genuine targets for Rafa this term?

I see what you are saying ant thanks for explaining, but I’d be very very surprised if there was any truth in it.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Moyes sealed a £4million move for Phil Jagielka from Sheffield United last week and is keen to add more players to his squad, but admits he is struggling to compete with some of the top flight's big spenders.

The likes of Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, Fulham and West Ham have splashed millions of pounds on new players this summer and Moyes fears inflated prices could have negative consequences for the game.

He told Everton's official website: "I think there has been some irresponsible buying and spending by some clubs and it makes it a bit more difficult if you've got less money to spend than that."

He added: "We'd like to add to the squad and I know the supporters, that famously bitter shower of c0cks, are desperate to see new faces coming in, no more so than me, but things out there in the market are tight.

"But we are certainly doing everything we can to strengthen the squad and give ourselves a chance. We've done it that way for the past few years and we'll continue to do so.

"I've been a supporter, in fact I still am a supporter, a massive bell end and a bulgy eyed sh1te too, but we're always quite cagey here and we don't give too much away partly because people know that we don't have the funds to compete at the top end."

Thats a sign of respect and subbmision before a ball is even kicked. This is the reason we need the the extra bit of quality to unlock those stubborn defences. We suffered from that last year big time.
