I'm actually happy with our forward line provided that we get proper service to them. The alternative was to buy a genuine goalscorer and leave the wide areas. Given that we've not bought an out and out goalscorer I just think we need someone new to get proper service to our strikers.
Fair enough, maybe not a natural finisher as such, but still a goal scorer. I’d like to believe that he would have buried at least two of the chances Bellamy had at Anfield, hence changing the game completely. Against United we just lacked that bit of quality in front of goal, and this year I think we might have it, maybe not enough to win the title, but enough to reverse the result of them two games. Excluding Torres, I do think we’ll see a much greater goal return from Dirk this year and Crouchers showed more often than not when he started last year that he had goals in him (didn’t start either United game).

Edit: Just read the bottom of your reply. Agree that we did need an improvement on the wings, but all depends this season on what formation Rafa is thinking of playing.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
