    Top signings of all time..

Some good shouts here, but some drug-fuelled ones also.

    Dalglish only 3rd!

Difficult to argue with Cantona though

Not sure how spunking 10.5m on Henry can be classed as an amazing signing though.

That list is a true shambles.
I wouldn't wipe my dogs behind with that article...if it was paper.

How does Essien get on that list? He's an amazing player, but at 24Million, he bloody well should be!
Anyway - as he's still playing for the club, he shouldn't be included.
They have this to say about him "Not cheap at £24 million but arguably the best midfield player at Stamford Bridge" - WOW! What an acolade!

Zak Knight made his way on that list but not Mascher? How much did we pay for Molby and Barnes at the time? (just curious) Of course there is no way to put up a list like this where everyone agrees, but still the top three are probably in order though to be fair.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

interesting that Arsenal top signing's have effectivly been big money signings yet Wenger is famous for bargain buy's.

IF Robson is there then where's Souness.

                Barnes to Liverpool aswell.

Cantona has to be top though IMO.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Unless you look at his ineffectual peformances for them in Europe, of course.

Nice of them to squeeze Rushy in between David Nugent and Peter Withe. He's got to be pleased with that.

Wherefore art thou, Ray Clem, Gary Mac, Souness, Emlyn, Paul Stewart??

Absolute bollocks that Cantona is top.

                    Has to be Kenny

Peter Schmeichel at #12??? For me, he made more of a difference than any other player on that list.

That list is meaningless drivel. Someone who costs tens of millions of pounds (like Essien for instance) and another who cost a set of kit (Barnes) may both be excellent players but I don't understand how their transfers are at all comparable.

More space-filling crap from the media.
                            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Roy Keane and Ian Rush should be way up on that list.
Cantona is very over rated IMO. Not just because he was a manc either.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                              * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
