Thatcher's socially blind, morally bankrupt, elite-serving economic policies can be traced back to Friedman. The 'free' in 'free trade' refers to the 'freedom' it allows the elites to exploit those of lower socio-economic standing for their own gain. I detest Friedman.

As far as i'm aware we're one of the 'cheapest' clubs to follow in premier league terms, certainly of the so called big four clubs. I used to make the trek up to Anfield quite regulary before we had kids, now i just go when the opportunity arises and the money is spare. I don't think this makes me anymore or any less a fan of the club.Originally posted by Red_PoloA lot of scousers are priced out of going to Anfield. The point that some miss is that so are many more OOTs. We can't give tickets away for free, somebody is always going to be priced out, it's about striking a balance. To be fair to the board I think we do that quite well.
In the modern game where it's now truely global i find certain peoples attitude towards OOT's or foriegn fans astonishing, they're amongst the first to critise the boards supposedly lack of marketing skills compared to say the mancs, yet critise the fans from say,the Asian market who then have the audacity to spend sometimes thousands of pound to turn up to Anfield for a game. This level of ingnorance really never ceases to amaze me

Not sure why you're quoting me there mate, don't actually recall saying that it bothered me that we have a good global following. So go and have a read of the thread again before making uneducated judgements. If it was a mistake then fair enough, we all make them.Originally posted by KopiteCallingLFC is a club with global support.if that bothers you, write a letter of complaint.i enough of you do,then im sure you'll get your wish to have a stadium of scousers.
you know whats most sickening?
so many foreign supporters are either made to feel unwelcome,or are ony wanted for their money.
i would have thought that all fans are equal.my mistake.Thomas Hicks Senior

How old did you say you were?

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Originally posted by DhavlosI could say a lot about the inane nature of this post,
but to be honest there is no point because it speaks for itself.
So you and your son miss out on the occasional game bacause a few people decide to spend thousands of pounds and make a 20,000 mile round trip to fulfil their dreams and go to a game of the team that they love. And when they do they get treated to this kind of attitude.
Obviously the scousers simply want a scouse club supported by scouse fans. But why leave it there? Instead of banning just the wools why stop there? Let's get rid of the non-scousers that make up the playing and coaching staff? Let's see if you scousers will get the club you want then, without the global support and without a global presence within.
When I go to Anfield I'm almost amazed at the vast variety of different kind of people I see there - people from all over the world - makes me realise what a big and special club it really is. Then I read posts like yours and I wonder why people from places like Japan and Singapore bother to follow a club that attracts such a petty and small-minded support like yours.
Best supporters in the world my arse, cant even support our own let alone our club
Excellent post in response to a shockingly small minded post.Los Rojos,I honestly hope your son grows up to respect that this club has a GLOBAL fan base and is not just the reserve of small minded scousers such as you.Your from Liverpool,so what. That dosen't give you any more of a right to tickets than myself in Ireland or the 2 asian lads or anyone else.

I was talkin about the drink being thrown mate.
I was sat on the divide yesterday but something happened further up behind me, something was thrown but it wasnt drink.
Oh and there was a set of ****s doing that easy **** once we scored the second, all in the paddock. They all looked like wools to me.

I think your attitude that it's wrong for people to go who don't have "a clue what the club is about" is equally wrong.Originally posted by nbryan1764I am not sure that he is really having a go at all out of towners. I think he is really having a go at the tourists, the ones that go for a day out and haven't a bloody clue what the club is about. If he is talking about that then I agree. Maybe I am wrong but I think thats the point he means. If he is truly talking about all foreigners then its hyterical consiering he calls himself the reds in spanish!!!
What do people have to do to be deemed acceptable? For Heavens sake we are a football club, not a snotty university.
If people want to come and visit us for a day out - great! If they don't know much about the club when they come, what better way is there to learn than by attending the club, shop etc, seeing us play, listening to the crowd, visiting the museum etc. Perhaps we should set people some sort of exam before they visit, with only those who know a lot being allowed!
We should be a club where everyone is welcome, regardless of where they come from, or how much they know about us.

Liverpool fans and The Kop, have always responded to taunts from opposing fans with chants of "Who the f*ck, Who the f*ck, Who the f*cking hell are you?", so I'm not sure where you're coming from with this one.Originally posted by paulcooper4I was absolutely gutted today when after scoring, the kop started singin "who are you, who are you?". ****IN PACK IT IN!!!!! I know we have a lot of cockneys in the kop nowadays, but we are not a cockney club. Leave that **** to them. I cant explain how embarrasing it was hearing it. On the kop`s 100th birthday too.

Exaclty, a lot of people don't appreciate there is a balance to be struck - they want to have their cake and eat it.
Whoever said about fans who don't know much about the club going to games - surely it's a good way to start learning?
