Should be a non-issue, he is entitled to an italian passport which means that a work permit is not required. Pretty much the same situation as Paletta.

I'm glad the Italians are fully implementing their scrutiny procedures. Remember once you've gained access to the EU you can travel fairly un-hindered etc. We all remember the dodgy passports for half of Arsenals squad a few years ago, and i'd guess Brazil is not the hardest place to forge documents either!

As for Work Permits : "Exceptional Tallent" Is agreed by a board at the ministry. They are a bunch of twunts generally though. Brazil is a special case re 75% as when Juninho signed for 'borough only 2 Brazil players qualified under that criteria due to them playing weakened teams / S.America based players a lot of the time and injuries.

For getting one automatically yes, which Anderson didn't. United appealed as is usual for young players in which case a panel decide whether the player is an outstanding talent who would improve the English game if he came.

The fact of the matter is that it is a subjective judgment but Anderson had a very good case.

Yeah I knew that, but didn't think it was on appeal that Anderson got his (probably because it was a scum transfer so nearly nil interest in it).

The subjectivity of the panel is what ****s me with work permits as it is a massive gray area.
