yeah, i would say so, lets face it at the back and centre mid, we are sound, amoung the best in the league, we have vastly imprved in weaker areas, i would still like us to sign a quality winger (real winger), and if im being greedy, i would like said winger to have the ability to play either side (mainly because no one can be sure harry will last more than a few games - but i live in hope)

Ballooned? Are you mad? That was a bit of flair for the camera's. Momo will soon have his own wee repertoire of tricks that will be copied the world over, just like Ronnie.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

But again, we don't have an out and out winger and that will hurt us this season if we don't sign one IMO.

We need to use the whole pitch and not just the middle.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

What people dont realise(the young generation anyways) is that even in the 70's & 80's we were never about wingers. APART from HEIGHWAY, CALLY & BARNES we did not really have out and out wingers. We had Jimmy Case & Ray Kennedy. Two hard working widemen who work for the team by providing crosses, tracking back and scoring a few goals.
We don't need 2 out & out wingers to provide crosses..this is a MYTH. All midfield players & full backs should be able to cross well and take on a man every once in a while like Gerrard does.
McManaman was the winger in the 90's, otherwise hardly anyone of note.
Bottom line people, BENYAOUN & BABEL are more than capable of supplying the amo for our strikers.

Voronin: 8 Played a very good game. Showed he has very few weaknesses, a typical Rafa player.

Hyypia: 7 Great experience and hardly put a foot wrong. Hard to imagine better cover.

                  Crouch: 5 did just ok.

Kuyt: 6 gets one up on Crouch for trying harder and linking up nicely.

Gerrard: 6 didnt look his best.

Momo: 7 it was like watching an Ork in midfield. Did play some nice football at times to.

Benayon: 6 showed intelligence but seem not to be his day.

                  Xabi: 7

                  Riise: 7

Torres: 8 worth every penny, and is only gonna get better. We have another in the same class as Steve.

Babel: 7 Seems to have everything, pace, power, skill, one with a very bright future.

                        two words 'Harry Kewell'

We've got him and monster to come back.

Kewell isn't an out and out winger too.

I think only Pennant qualifies as a real 'winger' in this team.
A: Finnan was plenty up there with Pennant. Maybe not overlapping but that was mostly cos Pennant stayed out right.

                                B: Kewell
