          According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                                Liverpool controlled the game, without being very threatening, team looked a bit tired from pre season training.
                                We had a few clear chances, without ever being spectacular.
                                Auxerre had a couple of chances and should have scored.
                                A couple of the young lads had some good run outs, Paletta and El Zhar in particular.
