rooney saha and tevez (he's going there) are much better than our strikers excluding torresOriginally posted by thesilverfoxlfc View PostWe have equally good goal Keepers
Both our defences are good
Our central midfield is better, their wingers are better then ours
Our strikers are better then theirs"I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

Hehehe...Originally posted by RedReet View PostI can’t believe no one has mentioned arguably the most important factor…..RAFA.
If Ronaldo is arguably the best player in the world and Rafa employs Mascherano to successfully take him out of the game ala Kaka, then it doesn’t if he’s better than Pennant or not.
Ferguson is no doubt a great manager, but in a tactical head to head with Rafa, I’d say we have a clear advantage. Results might not have proved that thus far

Based on last season Manure have a better team and squad than Liverpool. It is impossible to compare this season until signings have actually played in the PL.
Manure kill teams off. They murder the lesser teams. We did not last season and it remains to be seen whether things will change. I can't see Rafa changing his style. It is more likely our strikers will actually put more chances away compared to last season. We won't be cavalier....just more clinical.

based on last season united have a better first 11, but not squad. u saw how they struggled when they lost some defneders vs milan both legs and in the remaining pl games.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View PostBased on last season Manure have a better team and squad than Liverpool. another interesting note, people say united only do well against teams in bottom half of table, but wenger actually said recently utd finished top of the league in a table with games only between the top 10.
they also beat us twice you know, so are we crap or something? Obviously the 2nd game they were lucky but in the first game at OT they beat us comfortably without a rooney in form and ronaldo injured.

The thing is,all teams change in dynamic if you change a few players,so we won`t know who has the best team until we see how Torres,Babel(Quaresma and Heinze hopefully) and the other new signings get on.Torres might outscore Rooney,Babel may blow Ronaldo away. If`s and buts i know but i can`t say if Utd are better than us until i see what impact our new players have on our performances.

Better tactically, yes. Just didn't have the same quality at our disposal.Originally posted by DJS View Post
Sorry mate, but it was just a bit like saying "We might finish 20 odd points behind the top side, but honestly, we ARE better!"
I know you get my point so I'll not take the bait waste time explaining myself. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I get your point, it just means very little in the big scheme of things - they won the league, we didnt. I doubt their title winning party had a 10 minute mourning break, to console themselves about the allegedly inferior tactics, did it?Originally posted by RedReet View PostBetter tactically, yes. I know, but last season they had a superior team to us, this year hopefully they wont. My original point was focusing on future matches although you conveniently cut the end of the sentence off. Even though they are probably still stronger, if we do make a decent go of it this year, then Rafa will have to take most of the credit for getting more out of his players, just like he did with Gerry's squad in '05.Originally posted by DJS View PostI get your point, it just means very little in the big scheme of things - they won the league, we didnt.
