Do I understand correctly that the release of these plans has coincided with the planning application being made to the council?
Would that mean that the council could still turn us down?
Can only see the bluenose ****s at the council not letting us build this, they'll find a reason.
If it gets built though, I love it!

Are further images to be released in stages or is this our lot for the time being? Very unique design and completely different to the likes of the Riverside & Reebok stereotypical designs that are being repeated over and over
No-one's going to mistake our new home for anyone else's, another show of intent by G&T by providing us with the best and most unique stadium around showing the world we are a force to be reckoned with

I am impressed and excited to the extent that this is a completely original and wholly distinctive design, certainly compared to the "identikit" model (to quote Maestro) we had before.
I think one of our main concerns always was that the stadium had to be distinctive to us, you had to be able to look at it and recognise it instinctively as Liverpool's stadium. I am satisfied that this design fulfils that criteria.
Certainly we could have done with seeing more pics, an aerial view etc, more views of what the stadium will look like from both the outside and in, or even one of those 360 degree virtual tours things they did with the previous design. I've no idea why they've only released 3 pics.
I don't want to turn this into another "sack Parry" scenario, but one observation I'd like to make is why Parry is now saying that we have an original, abstract design befitting the club which is a departure from the trend of the bowl-shaped stadium, when he presented us with a bowl shape design not so long ago, not only that but a stadium which had a limited capacity and no room for exapnsion, one that was revised down from the original cpacity 65,000? I don't knwo how well Parry does his job behind the scenes, but I have serious concerns about him simply from what he says.Last edited by Dhav; 25-07-07, 12:20 PM.White liquid in a bottle = Milk
