      Where are you studying BTW?

We have all been made redundant in our office last week.
Number of reasons really, but my boss doesn't want to be in the business any more, your right about all the legal bollocks and paper work etc.
He has another business, and thinks that will be far less complicated for him, and more of a stress free life.
He is currently taking a client to court too for not paying up after he made his site worth millions with a planning application that we lodged, its too long a story to explain on here, and I don't know all the ins and outs, but paperwork was the cause of it, mixed in with other applications and advice that was given.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Before they increase capacity they need to get more studies done, anyone know if the studies will be finished before 2010 and then if so will the capacity be more than 60 k for opening?

I think they will be workimng on the research already, hence comments about the rail links etc.

But we dont want to upset the boat with whats already granted, so we get that rubber stamped and start builing the foundations etc. We can submit new plans then which if rejected wont prevent what's already happening. If everything went perfectly (which is unlikely with a public sector org involved) we could be opening infront of 75k in 2010!

I agree about the corners looking empty but it is, after all, designed to become a 76k-80k seater stadium. It just happens that there can only be 60,000 seats in it at this stage.

Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

You can't have it both ways though.

Fill in the corners and you get an identikit stadium. Leave them empty and you get something unique for this era.

Parry also said that it harks back to the old days in terms of it being 4 stands, each of a different size and shape.

As I said somewhere above, the corners look to have great big pillars in them supporting the roof, so I can't see them being filled in.
                  Oh I don't know.

Just as long as it doesn't intefere with the wall of noise and feeling of proximity to the pitch! Open spaces are an atmosphere killer!

If we're not going to get an expansion then i'd back a redesign of the layout!

FWIW, he is actually quite a top bloke.

But on the other hand he plays for the bitters. Scum. :bird:

I think people will always object to these modern buildings....its just the way most people are. They dont like change. They like things to stay in the "comfort zone". If it wasn't for architects and designers thinking outside these boundaries we would still be living in caves
Haha, so modern day architects are the reason why civilization is as we now know it?

Spoken like a true...ehhhh...modern day architect.

Ease up. So he doesn't like it. He doesn't have to. I think it's a bit odd as well, but it will grow on me.
