not sure if he is a bit slow and supports the blue****e or a true legend and is 1 of us

        Not before.
Why? they've already put a lot of stuff in place that we had been asking for and I'm sure you were probably one of the one's screaming for proper funding.
They have in the few months that they have been in control:
1 Re signed all our big names
2 Re-designed our stadium to allow it to be expanded and be a unique and absolutely magnificent design.
3 Backed Rafa as much as he's asked for.
        4 Hired a marketing/commercial director.

Those are just 4 major steps they have taken along with various others to put us back up there to compete in all areas that many many supporters have been saying we lacked.
Whether we win the league or not shouldn't come into it they have a manager and players who have more responsibility in what happens on the pitch, as long they provide the best opportunity for us to progress they are doing their job and should be thanked accordingly for what has been do thus far.

Thank God for Tom & George.

As for transfers - I appreciate we've broken the club transfer record but our outlay has only been around £16m, so there's not exactly been any change on that front. In fact, it's less than we usually spend.

However, I'm not interested in spending for spending's sake and our squad is improved.

It's a good start for Tom & George.

I think the difference is that we have spent a lot of money on young players who won't be in the first team picture straight away and been confident we can have the funding to make purchases before sales for the first team. Also I think we spent more than usual as your figure assumes we actually see all of the money in from sales which we won't. I'm not saying we have spent hugely more than previously but I do believe we have be able to buy closer to our prefered targets than we have before.

Part of the credit goes to Rafa (his purchases tend to loose less value than those we have had before) but mostly to the new owners for freeing up cash flow in the business and investing in the new stadium.

I'm not sure they deserve a thank you in particular - they aren't doing it purely for our benefit, they have their own pleasure and interests at heart. However I think they deserve credit for what they have done and apologies from some who abused them early in the transfer window.

I posted this on another thread earlier...

Since the Yanks have taken over we've made massive strides forward. In 6 months we've signed all our top players to new contracts, broken our transfer record, put forward plans for a truly unique stadium and set up our own tv channel. If only we were this professional 10 years ago then maybe we'd be winning league titles rather than watching the Mancs and Chavs do so now.

              G&H, I salute you both

The TV channel thing is interesting. None of thos in existence make any money and unless club rights for the PL become available seperately I'm really not sure what we stand to gain. I guess if we can do it on a very small budget then there is nothing to loose either but I have yet to see a solid arguement for it.

I agree with everything else you say.

Better access to see the reds for all fans, more exposure in the media and therefore driving our brand in possibliy different markets.
The excercise itself doesn't have to be a money spinner it's what comes from it.

I think before we all go on bended knees to G&H, its worth remembering 1 thing, they are interested in LFC as an investment to make money. Everything they do is primarily to make themselves more dosh in the long term. To see them as some sort of saviour, that they are spending cash out of the goodness of their hearts is missing the point completely.

That being said, the new stadium looks a massive improvement on the original design. Not only does the stadium itself look better but there is now scope to increase the capacity.

as for transfers their input is hard to judge. Our net spend has been nothing special and we'll never know if targets were lost because of a lack of cash.

i'm not knocking G&H but equally, they are businessmen here to make money. Now in the course of doing that, all things being equal it should help the club as well. But personally, i don't see them as any sort of saviours.
