Think about though - let's say the price is 5 mill...that's absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things for a club of our stature. We paid more than that for Biscan ffs!! It's obviously highly doubtful that we'd have to pay for all of it of course, but how cool would it be to get the train to Anfield?

There is a wodge of unusable Tram money sloshing around Merseytravel; one line of which was due to run through the chronically under-serviced Norris Green/Breck Road/Townsend Lane area. If we put something toward a new station - to make it idenitifably OURS -Red colours, 'This Is Anfield' signs etc - then Merseytravel/City Council (and NWDA, maybe) have a real incentive to build a genuine integrated tranport solution for North Liverpool; would be as much a driver for regeneration as the Stadium, and viable in it's own right. (Except vision would be required, not the strong point of those august bodies, who probably just want £5M of G&T's cash to spunk away)

I think with G+T in charge we are going to see dramatic change fairly quickly, the new station just being one exampl

Neither, just had an uncle who worked as a shunter at Edge Hill and my dad drove trucks for the LMS in the good old days. I am an enthusiast and know loads of bashers. More into the history of the lines and tunnels and classic locos such as the 37xxx. Never spotted, ever. Was more of a well informed railway trespasser/vandal in my youth.

Parry never really said numbers he just said high 70's, echo/post have been saying 78k, ssn and other in the media have been saying 76k, you wouldn't think it be anything to do with old ****hole holding just over 76k would you? In any case i know which figure I believe
