I'd imagine a sponsor or 2 wouldn't mind paying to be on display in and out of said train

Its the old freight line between Bootle and Garston docks, which has a link onto it from edge hill............ for the most part it runs above the city, through Wavertree, Tuebrook and Anfield

                      Thanks Meols, great map.
Looks lika a station should be placed close to where the line crosses Utting Avenue. Will be about 1 km to walk to the stadium from there.

if planning permission is granted will new anfield open with 76,000?
from the interview with parry I can't tell if anfield will open with 76,000 or if the expansion will be an on going process past the time we officially open

Hicks said he wants to build to high 70ks for the first game in the new stadium. Parry has been a bit more reserved in his comments but it seems clear that they're aiming high for day one.

From what I can gather, the plans are such that work can start as soon as the new design is approved (rubber stamp job as we have only changed the appearance not the capacity), Once the initial work starts we will be able to access about 30 million from the EEC

After work has started we are going to submit new plans for a larger capacity as well as new plans for transport links etc, once these are approved only very slight alterations are needed to the building programme to achieve this new capacity

In a nutshell it has been designed to allow for 76000+ but also so that work can start now
