It was hilarious though, he was ****in awful
I remember Sean Dundee. He must have had a fantastic agent/publicist cos all his press was good. When he laced up his boots though he just couldnt hide. He was nearly as bad as Jimmy Carter.

Keegan's debut - vs Forest - was incredible; a great goal and a penalty award in the first half - maybe even the first quarter, and more energy, tricks and flicks than a lorryload of monkeys on speed - this from an unknown from Scunthorpe, sneaked into the club in the week of the Cup Final.

Dalglish was more a known quantity - albeit in a poor league, but his Anfield debut (vs Boro?), at least, featured a goal of rare quality, the likes of which we were destined to see again and again - we saw that day what a class act he was going to be, any doubts removed.

But yes, Diouf scored 2 in his debut. And can anyone confirm what Alan Evans did? I seem to recall something incredible, a hat-trick or such like, but he never really scaled the heights expected of him, althouugh he wasn't bad.

Abel Xavier scored on debut. He had cool hair. Looked like Santa Claus!

Stan collymore, believe it or not, was awesome on his. Got a really good feeling about dirk dastardly though. (although i did about the other 2 at the time)
                        =]
thats not what I recall. He scored one hell of a goal but before that he had done pretty much nothing. He had far far better games for us that season

I think Rosenthals' hat-trick was one with his head one with his right foot and one with his left...... actually I know it was, only watched it again recently

but of course as mentioned above there was this

No he didn't he scored twice on his anfield debut, his actual debut was against Arsenal in the charity shield and he was not very good. He also played against Villa in our first league game of the season and was ok.

Rosenthals hat-trick was on his first start, he had been a sub against Forest prior to that.
