I hate them(not as much and man u mind) and we owe them a proper shoeing this season.
They took four damn points of us last season, revenge is in the air.

I don't want them to do well at all, but well enough to stay in the prem at most so that the derby's remain a highlight of the season.

Agree, although I'd be happy with them going down for a season or two, just to put them in their place and shut them up about never having been down (without relying on bribing a keeper).

for a long time i thought the philosophy of - they are from liverpool so as long as they finish 1 place below us, i am happy to see them do well. but after all the ****e that they come out with, from the fans to the manager, i would be ecstatic if they got relegated. i would never pull a blue trick of looking for another teams results first but it does make me smile when i see they have had a good thumping
              in january we were doomed.

in august we will rise from the ashes of ****e and march on again

In any case, I don't think a successful Everton side would benefit the city. Kirkby maybe...
Id like them to do well, if it wasn't for a lot of their fans who have a vendetta against Liverpool for no reason whatsoever.

I have to say I do find the bitters' antics highly amusing. Who else would blame events of over 20 years ago for the predicament they find themselves in now?

I even heard one of their former players on the radio a year or two ago (may have been Radcliffe) say that Everton couldn't keep their players after Heysel because the club wasn't in Europe! Funny, because all English clubs were affected by the ban, but of course Everton suffered more than all of the others.

Howard Kendall is probably the worst culprit for that. I can't believe he gets away with all the veiled digs he has at Liverpool over the European ban. The amount of times I have heard, "If it weren't for...".

Now I don't live in Liverpool so I really don't have family/friends that a blues but if they were both successful if would only benefit the whole city of Liverpool.

Out of all the blues I know only one would come under the bitter banner.

The stuff about Hysel makes me laugh since the season they were meant to be at their peak and rule Europe and England, we did the double.

But I dont hate Everton. They make me laugh. If they do well, then fair play to them, if they do ****e (which is more often than not) it gives me a smile and a chance to rip people. Ive had some great laughs about it all with Blues down the years. Granted you'll get the odd nob but they could say the same about our fans.

To me, its only started to get bitter with the influx of fans for both sides from outside the city. Fans who dont see Everton as the team your best mate or the bloke next door or your uncle supports but only as the other team in Liverpool so therefore our 'natural' enemy. You only have to hear the chants last season at Anfield of '**** off back to Norway' and '**** off back to Ireland' to highlight this. Yes, Everton blame us for everything but theyre starting to see LFC as not from the same area and its that, that is causing greif more than anything.

Im not saying its been sweetness and light for years until recently because it hasnt. My da can tell you stories about fights in the park etc but now, its not just the hooligan element that spout ****, its what would be classed as 'normal' fans on both sides doing thier bit.

Agreed. That guy exudes bitterness to the extreme. It seems to be the only thing he thinks about.

The other day he was saying he hopes Goodison doesn't end up as a car park for Liverpool fans going to the New Anfield.

Perhaps you're right, the bitters do throw a lot of that wool stuff at us, but that idiot Moyse's "People's club" bollocks, then all the stuff in 2005 with the CL seemed to fan the fires a lot.

I remember when I used to go up to Liverpool years ago, and you would get the typical banter from Evertonians about being a traditional Liverpool fan from London, but it was all good natured. Now it seems to be far more vitriolic, personal and poisonous.
