Oh Im not defending the **** they come out with. Moyes is an idiot and a lot of Eevrtonians know and admit this. Obviously when it suits them, they'll use him and his phrases.

The stuff in 2005 though, did that all come about from the fans getting in on what the manager/kenwright spouted or the other way around. Lets face it, if Rafa come out and said something like 'Utd are *****', we'd love him forever but can you imagine how that would help the supporters relations?

Once Moyes and or Kenwright goes, if Everton get any manager with half a brain, Im more than willing to bet that relations between us and them will improve. If we have supporters wanting it to that is.

The stuff about Hysel makes me laugh since the season they were meant to be at their peak and rule Europe and England, we did the double.

But I dont hate Everton. They make me laugh. If they do well, then fair play to them, if they do ****e (which is more often than not) it gives me a smile and a chance to rip people. Ive had some great laughs about it all with Blues down the years. Granted you'll get the odd nob but they could say the same about our fans.

To me, its only started to get bitter with the influx of fans for both sides from outside the city. Fans who dont see Everton as the team your best mate or the bloke next door or your uncle supports but only as the other team in Liverpool so therefore our 'natural' enemy. You only have to hear the chants last season at Anfield of '**** off back to Norway' and '**** off back to Ireland' to highlight this. Yes, Everton blame us for everything but theyre starting to see LFC as not from the same area and its that, that is causing greif more than anything.

Im not saying its been sweetness and light for years until recently because it hasnt. My da can tell you stories about fights in the park etc but now, its not just the hooligan element that spout ****, its what would be classed as 'normal' fans on both sides doing thier bit.
      Good post Chris.
I would hate to see them relegated....I would really miss the derbies..

I see what your saying, but I wouldn't agree that the OOT-thing is a catalyst for the bitterness, it's just another in a long line of pathetic shouts they use because they can't say they are better/more supported/more famous than us. It's exactly the same as the line, "You wouldn't exist if it wasn't for us", or, "We have more history than you" (followed by an explanation that they have more history because they have existed longer).

My best mate is an Evertonian, and I probably couldn't class him as bitter, but he hates Liverpool more than any other team in the world. By quite a long stretch. He doesn't throw out all the nasty shouts but there is an instinctive tendancy within him to hate Liverpool as his natural enemy.

All in all, I think it's clear that the reason Bluenoses hate Liverpool is just because we have it a whole lot better than them.

I don't doubt that at all. I think if there were reasonable and sensible figureheads in place at Everton that would calm things down a lot. Right now they have people like Moyes, Kenwright and Wyness coming out with such bile and vitriol. I don't know if Wyness etc was coming out with that stuff re the CL to appease their fans or if it was in reaction to their fans' ill feeling towards us, but it was irresponsible to the extreme. And their fans just seem to jump on the bandwagon. They're like sheep.

Having said that, Rafa calling them a small club didn't help matters, although it was funny.

I'm just thinking back to 2005 when they were in the draw for the CL qualifier. Radio 5 were interviewing Kenwright on the day, and he was saying he met some Evertonians in Monaco who told him they had to be there for the draw, as it was such a milestone for Everton etc, and Kenwright said so proudly something like "that's what Everton and Evertonians are all about" or some **** like that

I would certainly miss the derbies.

But seeing them put in their place - that's priceless.

Blue *******s, hate them with a passion. ****ing small time pub team who draw 0-0 at home with us once in a blue moon and wank themselves silly over it.

"People's Club" my bollocks. That's the same desperation thinking that sees them bring out DVDs like "Our great start to the season" or other such barrel-scraping crassness. What next? Our glorious relegation escapes? ****ing jokers.

Ankle-kicking Sunday league hackers who harass an occasional decent result out of us playing ****e football and crow about it for ages. Shows how they truly know their place when such a rare occurrence is a cause for such massive collective orgasming. Any self-respecting club would be embarrassed.

And that **** Moyes looks like he's just been embalmed and had something sharp stuck up his hole or something.

              *****.

Anyway, does that answer your question?

The thing about it is this though - Rafa said they were a "smaller" club. Not a small club. Moyes himself agreed that they were a smaller club in his interview at the time.(How could he not, in fairness?) It was blown out of all proportion by Kenwright, other Bluenoses and the media. Storm in a teacup really.

But the fact that Kenwright and Wyness blew it out of proportion shows they have a complex about being a small club/smaller club than Liverpool, and they stoke a lot fires because of it.

                        **** Everton.

If you can honestly ask this question, then you must be a very distant Liverpool fan.

How can you want that shower of **** to be successful is beyond me. Cast your mind back to previous derbies when they'd happily sing "Murderers", following it up with the wonderful "miming" of people being crushed against fences - oh, and let's not forget that other catchy ditty; "Justice for the 39."

Have a word with yourself eh.

I know a fair few Everton fans both at work and outside of work. Horrible nasty bunch of pricks especially after a few beers. Some of them are closet racists as well but on one occasion I was in the pub with them on one of our European nights, they neck a few beers and start with the sick Hillsborough chants and start muttering all sorts of stuff under their breath but loud enough for people around them to hear... I had to walk out of the place, needless to say one of them got a good kicking after BUT thats the least he deserved. Never heard so much hate, it's like the football version of an extremist preacher, brainwashed and isolated - it's like they think they have nothing to lose. This was in Chester btw

It's a shame the rivalry has gone the same way as Man U's - hatred rather than friendly banter.

We have just as bad racist element however, although far fewer people who'd lower themselves to sing about tragedies.

Hey like I said I am not from Liverpool and have never been to a derby game so how would I hear them singing 'Murderers'

I asked a question but thanks for the feedback as I and probably many other fans around the world did not know that
