I thought Crouch was poor today. He looked - dare I say - out of his depth somehow. You could see he was trying but he just couldn't get into the game. His movement compared to Torres' was very poor and so it looked like he was playing second fiddle to FT instead of trying to build a partnership.

I like PC and I really want him to do well (again) so I hope this is just an early season blip for him.

Palletta was shocking.

Step forward Quaresma who had a decent game by his standards. Good free kick taker, lovely fancy tricks but will he survive in the PREM ?

Good strong fast player he is. Very direct just as he was in the Euro U21 last month. Wonder if Rafa is interested.
The Chavs apparently want to sign him.

I'm wondering why rafa plays Babel on the right? He normally plays up front or as a left winger, so he can cut in and shoot on his right foot.

Maybe but why did he do it in the last game? Do you think that's where Rafa may play him? Or do you think Rafa will want him to be versatile so he can play on both wings and up front when needed.

I liked the look of Leto. He'll do well in the prem when he finds his feet.

I dunno about the last game, I would have thought versatiltiy is the key. One thing I noticed from todays game, it was fairly congested with players on the right flank, especially in the second half so there really wasnt that much space to work in
