I completely agree, Al. This performance has been a bit like last season on the road. Loads of possesion and no cutting edge.

Feyenoord are only doing what all tactically astute teams do - targetting our weak spot. Every time de Guzman gets the ball he's looking towards Riise and trying to get the lad in behind him, and it paid off.

Kewell and Pennant are looking to cut inside / slow up play too much. I don't know if this is because we don't have enough people arriving in the box or it is just their decision making being poor.

I think it's mainly the first. Dirk and Voronin aren't really the type of players to get in behind defenders. They like to lurk deeper and this can often encourage the wingers to slow play - even if the strikers would benefit from some crosses from the line.

Quite boring to be honest but what do you expect. Midfield working really well. Riise's slight lapse of concentration concentration gave them space to score, but their right winger still ahd a lot to do and did very well.

Would like to see Torres come on early but I doubt it.

Be fair to him On two occasions he pick the ball up in our half had acres of space he runs half way past the fullback and checks up and back passes. We see this game in game out, when he isnt spending the majority of his time injured. It just isnt good enough
