Agger with a great ball for Voronin, he cuts it back to Kewell who delays for too long. Finally Alonso gets it, plays it to the right and attack breaks down completely as Carra has to play it back to Pepe.

Gerrard and Voronin combine well, The Crow lays it off to space in the middle but nobody arriving and Feyenoord clear. Was a good lay-off from the Ukranian but our bane of last season - lack of people in the box - was evident again.

Kuyt's shot was definitely in off the underside of the bar but the linesman was not up with play so couldn't give it.

Feyenoord are in but the striker slips as Pepe raced out, the Spaniard deals with it and clears down the other end. The game is stretched and Kuyt gets a chance but a good challenge denies him.

Intelligent play by the Crow to receive the ball in space but has to play it back and the ball ends up with Agger.

Kuyt lays off a Gerrard pass to Riise who hesitates to shoot on his right, eventually goes to Voronin who might have gotten the shot off but delays and Feyenoord are able to clear.

The Crow is fouled on the edge of the box but not given.

Feyenoord look their most dangerous when our attacks break down, they trying to play on the break with their pacey strikers.

Kewell to Voronin, he spreads it well to Pennant who crosses to the back post, cleared but comes to Xabi. Ball goes backwards to our defenders, Xabi picks it up and chips it forward to Voronin who attempts to direct it into Kuyt's path but too far ahead of him.

Voronin does move well. Very clever.

Want Gerrard to bomb on more. Seems to be sitting back on most attacks. Hopefully it's different against Villa.
