Kewell would look a lot better if a 'striker' or two actually got into the box for him to pass a ball to though.
Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the goal of arriving safely in a prettily preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways in a shower of gravel and party shards, thoroughly used, utterly exhausted, and loudly proclaiming: "F*** ME, that was BRILLIANT!"

That was worrying yesterday. Normally there was only ever one person to aim at in the box. We need more men in the box to create chances.

Very true, and it was also our biggest failing in away games last season. I am starting to wonder if it's more to do with Rafa being far too cautious than the fault of players who obviously have ability.

Cue flaming for even daring to suggest that Rafa may have a flaw!

I think it is a definite problem with our front four being too deep and too disconnected. I think it is more about making runs that will end in the box than having a target already in the box though. When United have the ball wide they know they can ping the ball in and there is a good chance that someone will attack the right areas in front of goal and turn it into a good ball. We need to have the same.

Do you have a good word for anybody? If you can't say something nice, etc.
                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

                    Wouldn't bother Neil, he's clearly a WUM.

Seems many are ready to give up all chance of him performing this year before a ball is kicked in anger.

Harry is a very clever footballer, much smarter than most. Injury will almost certainly end his career at the top level so i would wait at least until one serious game is played before writing him off.

Even though Harry has lost his pace, I think he's still very important. He is a very very clever player, can put a good ball in and is invaluable if you want to keep the ball. He can teach a thing or two to players like Leto and Babel.

This is correct. Houllier actually signed his non-football playing twin brother Barry by mistake. It's because it looks like Kewell, it talks like Kewell, but it doesn't play like the Kewell who came from Leeds.

                            See above (re: shaggy)

Ice Ham, because the owner is from Iceland

There was a time when I regarded HK as one of our possible match winners. These days he is no more than a squad player. I expect Babel to play more than HK this season. Like it or not HK really has never consistently performed for Liverpool and if he doesn't take his chance when offered this season then he is a fool to himself.

He never did it consistently for Leeds. On his day he is certainly a match winner, potentially as good as Barnes. Kewell has been an outrageous waste of talent, whether through injury or his own perceived lack of determination.
                                Sad really.
