And Chelski isn't right either. It should be Chelskov. -Ski is a Polish ending.
The only reasonable course of action is to withdraw all these nicknames until we've had a chance to think them all through properly..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

But what kind of timescale are we looking at before we assign a nickname?
Do we need to appoint a commitee to decide about the validity of any given moniker?
This ain't going to be easy Neil.I love Sarah

Obviously this is going to be a major project. I suggest we commission a feasibility study covering timescales, project parameters and costs (including The Glove's hefty expense account). I suggest this is known from now on as pre-Phase 1.Originally posted by brightred View PostI agree

So first we need to elect a committee from which we can draw a steering group who will be tasked with drawing up a Brief that can be used as a basis for inviting tenders from which we can select and commission the study before initiating Phase 1.
The floor is open - any comments, suggestions, counter-proposals, etc?.

I think we should have a crap nickname amnesty before moving into pre-Phase 1. You can't rush these things, but once the feasibility study is in we should operate a zero tolerance policy, while obviously making room for those who wish to follow Eth's example by banning themselves.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostObviously this is going to be a major project. I feel the timescale should be finite and the project parameters wide, very wide.
Unfortunetly costs could be prohibitive.
Who's willing to join the steering group?Last edited by brightred; 07-08-07, 12:02 AM.I love Sarah
