I think it is a definite problem with our front four being too deep and too disconnected. I think it is more about making runs that will end in the box than having a target already in the box though. When United have the ball wide they know they can ping the ball in and there is a good chance that someone will attack the right areas in front of goal and turn it into a good ball. We need to have the same.

Agree to an extent. I've been disappointed in pre-season that no-one is coming in from the left side when we're crossing from the right. 9 times out of 10 when you are crossing under pressure you are going to over hit. We saw that so many times last year but in this pre-season we've not seen Kewell covering that. With the shot he has on him, he should know that's gravy.

The runs into the box from Kuyt, Torres and the crow have been good all through pre-season. Most of our goals have come from well timed runs from the above.

If Kewell is the mecurial player you believe he is. How about you provide 10 games for us where he has been truly outstanding.

If you actually take the time to read my posts, i never said he was a mercurial player. My point is that since he joined he hasnt had a decent run of being fitin order to produce the football i believe he is capable of.

And because he is a player in THE CLUB that i love, i will continue to support him like our manager does until Rafa deems he is no longer worthy of being a RED..This is called supporting YOUR TEAM through thick and thin, not just when players are performing well....u may not be aware of the concept..

The fact that Rafa has stuck by him all this time when Harrys playing time has been extremely limited speaks volumes and shows that Rafa clearly rates him.
I hope he comes good this season i really do, i just cant see it, consistent injuries take their toll.
His somewhat lacksadaisical attitude on the pitch when he does play doesnt endear him to many but i hope he proves everybody wrong this season by producing performances like the Chelsea semi that we all know he is more than capable of doing.

No, neither do I.

Everything is monitored in minute detail. If Kewell was anywhere near as bad as you're making out, both in terms of application and contribution, then he'd be out on his ear.

As it is, he's still here while Benitez turfs out and endless stream of underperformers.

Interesting concept. You'll love Kewell until the day Rafa accepts an offer for him, then you'll slate him for not performing well for us.

People need to forget the Leeds thing, it wasn't real. We all lived in an alternate universe for a couple of years where Woodgate, Kewell and Bowyer were top class and Leeds had a century's worth of look all at once. It didn't really happen, the skunk was just full of crystals in 2001.

Nobody should be exempt from criticism if there form has not been good over 4 years.Why dont Gerrard,Carra,Finnan etc get this?Because they do the business all the time.Ok I have gone a bit wild in my criticism,but he gets to me.I am not going to pass judgement on him again until he has had a few games(ten maybe).If he produces top class performances then I will praise him and if not I will come back an angrier young man
