Surely the Carson route is great for a young keeper play for a Pl side and have the chance to come back to the biggest club in the country.

You only have to look at what happened at Chelsea last season to see that there will over the long run be chances for at least Carson to play some games over the next few seasons. It has to be worth the career gamble of playing in some of th biggest games in world football as opposed to playing for a mid table team. Obviously there comes a point where a keeper will want games but as their careers are longer they can afford to wait until they are a little older.

But what I'm saying is that unless Reina gets an injury (touch wood) Carson isn't going to get many games. Even if he waits a few years, as Reina is so young, he isn't going to retire.

It would be different though, if Reina was in his late 30s, as Carson would only have to wait a few years, like Foster at the Scum.
