Torres nets 25 in his first season, and everyone outside of LFC becomes concerned about how we 'grinded out' the title. The Scum were attack-minded and oh-so delightful to watch, but we won it.

That's my prediction... with a good dose of optimism.

My prediction is come this time next season Rafa will no longer be in charge, either having won the league with us and gone to Real Madrid or leaving after a disappointing season citing lack of support from Tom & George.

That aside I think it will be someone other than Torres who turns out to be our best buy of the Summer. After the disappointment of Cisse, Nando, Bellamy and, to a lesser degree, Kuyt I can see it maybe being The Crow or perhaps even Babel who shines brighter than Torres. Babel hasn't looked that great pre-season but I've got a sneaking feeling he might come good if we get into some more open Premiership games where he has room to run.

I think this season hinges on our away form and results against the other "Big Four". If Rafa can address these issues we are in with a shout. A win against the Chavs next week would be a big confidence booster for the team bu more importantly we need to pick up points away from home at old toilet, stamford and the emirates. I think we have a great chance this year and think it is too close to call.

All in all I'm very disappointed with the window so far. Sure, Torres look like an exciting prospect but the spending has been nowhere near what the Americans promised and nowhere near what the team needs to challenge. Babel will need time to settle. We didn't get Alves. The fourth striker should have been in the Tevez league and not a free Voronin. Where is the class CB cover? Arbelao is not good enough to effectively fill Finnans boats.

Pennant, kewell, Yossi as the attacking wing midfielders are light-weight at best. Not good enough.

With all the players sold we barely spend more this window compared to the last.

We will finsh 10 points behind Chelski and Scum again again again.

                      Depressing...

Best we'll do is third again, but crucially within 4-7 points of the winners and ready to seriously challenge the year after.

We might bag a Cup but can't see the league title coming.

We just have too much ground to make up in terms of attacking/guile/craft quality, genuine sense of adventure away from home, chances to goal conversion ratio and most of all, experience of the heat of a Premiership run-in.

We're getting there but we're still a good bit off IMO.

We'll start fairly crap as usual, but not crap enough to kill our title hopes.
The usual surge post Chrimbo with 8 points between Scum / Bluescum / Us.

Then BANG, last few games we get 9-12 points and SG WILL lift the Prem.

I have a feeling in me waters.

                              1st - The Mighty Reds
                              2nd - Chelsea
                              3rd - Manc ****s
                              4th - Arsenal
                              5th - Spurs
                              6th - Man City
                              7th - West Ham

Cant be arsed with any more, but would say that Derby, Wigan and Sunderland will go down

Depressing, truly depressing because its accurate.

Two players I really wanted were Alves and Tevez. in the end they ended up with second best, therefore we'll end up... err... third, and third by some distance points-wise.
