i rate reina as better than cech, there both equally good shot stoppers but reina rules on penalties.
I dont think Casillas commands his area as well as Cech and Reina and I think if he came to England, he would be very very suspect at handling crosses.

I think Cech is a top class keeper aswell.
maybe the fact that Casillas plays for RM makes him a better option, but he aint overrated.

thats exactly it, 1 important attribute that makes PEPE the better keeper

They rate the following higher than him:
            Cech
            Van Der Saar
            Given
            Friedel
            Jaaskeleinen
            James

            It's a disgrace IMO

how is he related so highly?

good keeper yes but clearly bottles it. he had all the potential but he doesnt have the mental strength.
I suspect the reason that Given and James are so well respected are that they are excellent shot stoppers and thus look good on match of the day. Neither have the presence or control of a defense to make it at a top club and in James case he also doesn't have the concentration levels required. Similar complaints can be leveled at Jaaskeleinen and Friedel to an extent.

I really think that at this point Cech and Reina are in a class on their own as they are both excellent and young enough to mean they are likely to remain so. Van Der Saar and Lehmann while excellent are winding down now and keepers more than any other position seem to just hit the wall and not be able to cut it at the very highest level all of a sudden.

Then we can label him as top class keeper. There ain't many top class keepers in the world nowadays apart from Buffon.
It is gonna be really difficult for him to become 1 in Spain. Casillas and Palop are very high quality competition.
As for Robinson, has anyone ever seen him make a quality save. I think against Spurs all you need to do is take a shot at goal from outside the box and its a goal. I have never seen a premiership keeper with so little agility.I think most people on est1892 would be better at saving penalties than robinson.

I guess he can be forgiven for that shocker against Everton early on last season, where he attempted to...**** i dont know what he was trying to do

Van Der Saar was woeful towards the end of last season. Maybe he was tired, maybe it was pressure - whatever the reason, Man Utd got away with having a very good keeper for only three-quarters of the season.
                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Spot on. The other keepers lack of positioning forces them to make a save, which makes them look good as it's on MOTD.

True, he did well in the Charity Shield though. I suspect that Ben Foster must have been over the moon watching the last weeks of last season.

He's top class. One of the very best.

Every goalkeeper makes mistakes, including the best. It's the nature of the position. It's how they react to it that separates the good from the bad.

When you look back, Schmeichel made some momentous ****-ups over the years - really embarrassing mistakes - but it didn't affect his confidence, and by any reckoning he was about the best there was for a decade or so. (Shame he played for that shower of ****... but you know what I mean.)
