Torres looked very impressive seen as though it was his first performace in the league and away from home.
I thought we were alright but as last year were a bit wasteful, but im sure that will be sorted once the players get a few games under their belts.
Oh and by the way, thank God for GerrardJavier Mascherano: 'I want to be settled and kill myself on the pitch so the team wins lots of games'

Give it a little time mate. Improvements are there for all to see. We went after them today and we prospered as a result. How many times have you seen the Scum or Chelski do what we did today in recent seasons.Originally posted by Quinncy View Postall in all,we`re a little bit better than last yr.Things need to improve to win the league.i`m sick of 65% possession,20 attempts and 2 goals, the last one in 87 mins.We should have killed them off after 60 mins.
It looked like we had dropped 2 points but we didn't settle for that we pushed on immediately.
I think we'll see a lot more of that this year.

I really hope so.but that was edge of the seat stuff against a mediocre team.the top 7 will batter them, imho.Originally posted by redblood View PostGive it a little time mate. I don't think so mate they are not that bad they have some good players that will give most teams trouble.Originally posted by Quinncy View PostI really hope so.but that was edge of the seat stuff against a mediocre team.the top 7 will batter them, imho.
MON's teams are never easy to beat.

I know,i`m a celtic fan,but we should have stuffed them today,we missed so many chances when we were 1-0 up that it almost cost us,just like it did last yr.Originally posted by redblood View PostI don't think so mate they are not that bad they have some good players that will give most teams trouble.

Also, this win will so SO spur us on. I believe this turn-around to be a very VERY important factor for the next few weeks. If that freekick hadn't gone in, the heads of the players will have said 'aw ****, same ****, different season', but now that it did the players will count their blessings and make sure they keep on their toes. ****ing GET I!N!

Out of curiosity, I was just thinking to myself, if we were to play Celtic in the CL, who'd you opt for? (I know you'll prolly say the Pool, but how 'gutted' would you be for Celtic should they lose?)Originally posted by Quinncy View PostI know,i`m a celtic fan,but we should have stuffed them today,we missed so many chances when we were 1-0 up that it almost cost us,just like it did last yr.

I see your point, manu sneaked through games a few times last yr,we need to convert more chances,1-0 up with 7 mins to go is always gonna mean heart stopping minutes till the final whistle.Originally posted by sean_lfc View Post

In my heart liverpool win 51/49% just because i love to see us go one better than ManU and watch their scum supporters squirm.

1st game excellent for me.
Torres looked great all bar the finish. If he keeps his confidence he'll be our Henry.
A MON team is always difficult and we control most of it.
OK we missed chances but they were all chances that the likes of Stevie G n co would normally convert.
Defence was solid.
That game last year which bar 1 or 2 would of been the same line up - we wouldn't of come back from the penalty IMO -
this too me shows the like of Stevie G believes we have the team to get no19Its times like these we learn to live again FF
