I've said it before,Chelsea's scouting network doesn't extend beyond the tabloids.Lets just see who liverpool are in for,let them do all the hard work in terms of research and just outbid them by offering double what that players worth.I suppose it works, because they end up with quality players usually, but to give them any credit for it?

It just shows the short cut to thinking this journalist has taken, and ofcourse, (as someone earlier in the thread pointed out) the inept backing the editor has given to this piece of terrible journalism.Lets not forget thow, this is a highly regarded and worldwide respected newspaper.

I for one can take criticism, but this guy is a prize prawn.Totally out of touch with reality and i truly wonder how he has a job in journalism.

I believe, and i'm certainly no expert, that this kind of direct criticism and blatent putting down, MUST have facts to back up what's being written.

            Very irresponsible.

Had a bit of a laugh reading the match reports today. The Observer called Villa Park a 'happy hunting ground' or some such thing, whereas another paper had us winning our last 10 trips to Villa. But I think the Sunday Times again reckoned it was our first win at Villa Park since Aug 2002.

Not to mention (the already mentioned) fluctuating Torres transfer fee.

I just don't know what to believe anymore.
