I thought he did really well in that first game of the Rotterdam tournie. He did nothing flashy, just received the ball as the holding MF and passed it to a team mate. I don't know if Nic83 was watching a different game when he said about him learning to pass to his own team mates. I hardly saw him put a pass wrong.

Its a common occurence for south american players with potential to leave their homeland for europe and one of the "easier" leagues until they find their feet and head off to the english, spanish or italian ones.
However, i understand through friends who have far more knowledge of brazilian football than i do (because they live there) is that this boy is so highly rated that it was felt that he didnt need to go through that process, and that as soon as he overcame the language and cultural issues that come with moving to a new country, he is already at the standard to play in our league and make an impact.

            Thats good enough for me.

              He has massive potential

Certainly no mug in sight there. Lucas will be class. Granted I'm basing this on his performance in Asia and a bit of youtube viewing but still looks decent to me.

Romario is still playing too. He knew the way to the onion bag on the odd occasion.

                                Probably over-priced though?
