    How old?

How old should a child be before he can go to Anfield?

I have a 5year old and want to take him to Anfield before we move but am a bit worried he is to young.

    Thoughts?

No idea on the age limits but things to consider:

Is he ok in loud crowds, like the fair or theme parks?

    Does he get bored quickly?

Will he like Carlsberg and a pastie at half time?

Just thinking about my nephew and his ilk. Would be an amazing memory and a cool 'present' to a kid, but at the same time a daunting day out that could end in tears. One for the parents to consider wisely. Good luck with it.

I'll tell you on Monday mate. Bringing my 4 year old to the Chelsea match on Sunday and we're sitting in the lower Anfield Road - block M.

I love the enthusiasm of the some of the kids you see at Anfield. Some of the most vociferous, vocal supporters are kids, will shout encouragement to the team at the top of their voice non-stop. What's more they really seem to enjoy it. My first game was when I was about 7, and I was like that as well.

May be 5 is a bit young, you know your kid better than us, but I'd say take him as soon as you can.

****. Maybe you're right. I'll fax it to you.

Seriously though I'm going to bring him to the museum on Saturday, show him round the place and then get there early on Sunday before major crowd build up so he has more time to get used to it. He's very excited.

Gerrard better be playing as he's the only player he'd recognise.

I took my 5 yr old boy a few years ago when we were over.

I took him to several local matches first to see if he could go the distance. He did fine so I took him. Got there very early so the noise built up around him and again no problems at all. Sat in the Kop and we won 3-0. Got the photos on the wall in front of right now.

Near on the proudest day of my life that, getting him to Anfield and securing him as a life long Red fan
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I was going to take my 7 year old son on Sunday but decided against it because a) he has never been and b) I will be sitting in the middle of the greatest stand in football: THE KOP!!!!

Let me know how you get on. I am planning on taking him to the Derby match
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers and you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
