However, I regard Riise as one of the most overrated players at Liverpool FC in my life time.
for ****s sake...how old are you exactly?

There are only two extremely good left backs in the prem: Evra and Cashley. Heinze is no better than JAR and behind Evra in the Manc's pecking order, so what's the point in having their rejects?

This is one game where we can't afford to carry passengers!
You watch any football at all, mate, or is it all cricket and volleyball these days?

Riise seems to me like he really needs confidence, in general and in terms of who he partners. Rafa's rotation is one thing but our left side has been a joke since Kewell ended the FA Cup winning season injured. Arbeloa + Riise is not ideal, I know people rate Arbeloa but I don't think his distribution is any better than Riise and, generally, doesn't offer more going forward.

Riise + Malouda would have been a fantastic left side for us. Instead we've got Babel, who I don't think looks a natural left-mid, and Yossi who is even more lightweight than King Luis.

                  It's a tricky one.

Sometimes his defending is pretty much crap ... But when we have a free-kick just outside the area ... Riise anyone? I know I would

I don't think either of them are extremely good.

JAR can be infuriating but on the whole was a great signing. He deserves a little bit more respect. There aren't many better left backs, probably Heinze and a few others alone, in the world today.

I certainly respect him because he has made contribution to the club over the years, but I think his skills are average but he works hard and his left foot is out of this world.

I think he's a good squad player for the club but I certainly don't rate him as one of the better left backs in the world.

Going back, SWP ripped another arsehole. Arbeloa was too exposed one on one against him. Going forward, the guy had opportunities and as always with his big head and bent shots, he missed. Surely he is waste on the teamsheet. Didn't anyone see Babel make somewhat of an impact?

No mate, i thought he played very well, Arbeloa had SWP in his pocket and didn't need too much defensive cover, and Riise beat Essien nearly every time he had the ball, but we didn't give the ball to him on the deck nearly enough times.

If you think otherwise then i think you were watching a different game.
