Well I agree with Marcus that Pennant needs to calm. I expect him to last no more that 15mins this half. SG needs to restrain himself. It might be better is Masher came on for Alonso to take the pressure off SG a bit because Alonso just isn't at the races today.

Game strted getting a little scruffy towards the end of the half....
We have to calm down a little especially with 3 yellow's.

A second goal early in the second would be great!

Oh and while I am typing, Torres took that goal quite wanderfully!

I thought he had broken it watching the replay and the way it bent after. Thank god he seems ok.

a good half but we were starting to get distracted by the antics of chelsea and some over fussy reffing

we have played all the football, looked the hungrier team and torres has been fantastic

BUT

chelsea will come hard in the second half and with 3 players on yellows- and xabi bound to get one for his next foul- we need to keep focused on the job in hand

our defending has been a bit hesitant at times- only finnan of the back 4 looks comfortable (to be fair they are up against drogba who is a handful)

to throw away all the hard work would be stupid. we can get another

but pennant has to come off for me- he looks too fired up (and after starting ok is having one of those **** days)
