If this is the response about him on the back of 2 games where he didn't really do anything wrong I'd hate to see the reaction on here if the poor ******* actually has a stinker.

Right, lets get a bit of perspective in this thread.

There appears to be a small group of people who have made Kuyt the new scapegoat for us not winning every game 10-0 like they can do in FM. These people will have a pop whatever the lad does, and frankly haven't a clue what being a Liverpool supporter means. People are entitled to their opinions, but one or two members here seem to have nothing to say other than that "kuyt is ****e". Or I should say "had", we've, ahhh, "lost" one such pillock from this board over his "vendetta", and if it continues in its current form, we may "lose" one or two more

However, and I say this as probably one of Kuyt's biggest fans here, that doesn't mean all criticisms of Kuyt are invalid, and there is a section of people here, thankfully larger than the first group, who do not particularly rate Kuyt, or perhaps just rate other forwards in our squad more. These people still do support the player when he pulls on the red shirt, will acknowledge when he plays well, and will explain their criticisms with sanity and rational thought. These opinions, however much I might disagree at times, are perfectly valid, and shouldn't just be lumped in with the "kuyt bashers" others have mentioned, this is a discussion forum after all.

The Kuyt bashing that's going on here is a ****in joke. It's his second game in his second season and already the muppets are out in force calling for him to be dropped. Like him or net we are a better team when he plays. Defenders hate playing against him cause he does not give them a moments peace for 90 mins. His work rate creates chances for the rest of the team. He might not have the strike rate of a RvN but he has the right attitude to be a liverpool playr which is far more important. Rafa has said himself it is not about 1 striker scoring goals but about spreading the goals among the team. Having kuyt's unselfishness in the team will enable this to happen. He got 14 goals last year so I for one am backing him to get 17-20 goals in all competitions this year.
