You can tell Ca$hl£y doesn't like playing against him, that's for sure. I was disappointed when he came off, must've been down to the yellow card, having him on one wing and The Tower on the other is looking quite tasty though

Spot on mate. With a bit of luck, when were 6-0 up against Sunderland next week but a two yellow card sending off though. No Violent conduct or straight red as its a 3 match ban though.

BUT as a real positive, I felt Jermain Pennant was top-drawer today.....and hardly put a foot wrong! Keep it up lad!

why was he taken off only for kuyt to go right wing five mins later. if that was "roffa's" plan, why didn't he take kuyt off instead of pennant.

pennant was doing well enough, and is certainly better on the right wing than kuyt is for the obvious reason that pennant is a right winger.

I think that's maybe why he was the one taken off despite playing well, though I'm not convinced it made us better. Babel looked a bit lost on the right in what was after all only his first game for us and we got disjointed, and then a few minutes later he put Kuyt on the right instead.

Pennant (for all the criticism I've given him) was more effective on the right than the both of them. Taking him off weakened us in my view.

I think Pennant combined with Babel is sufficient on the RW. My concern is Riise/Babel on the LW. Riise is a stop-gap winger and this Kewell in/out situation again is hurting us.

I dont mind Babel on the left at all. He has a cracking shot on him, and i can see him scoring a fair few goals from cutting in on the left.


Im not Pennants biggest fan by any stretch....but credit where its due, he played a cracking game Hope to see more of it too.
